spawns the

(by default, the user's shell)
inside a new PTY.
It then lends control of the detached PTY to

over a UNIX-domain socket.
.Nm dtch
should be run as a background job or with
.Xr nohup 1 .

attaches to the
.Nm dtch
session with the corresponding
.Ar name .
To detach from a session, type
.Ic ^Q .
